No, your eyes aren’t playing tricks on you at the grocery store–that box of cereal really is shrinking. It’s a phenomenon Edgar Dworsky, the consumer watchdog behind sites like ConsumerWorld.org and Mouseprint.org, calls “Downsizing”–products that are shrinking in size and not in asking price–and has been tracking since the early 1990s.

I have said, that if this item is cut down any more, you will not be able to see it.

LOL!! Now things are much more dIfferent from decades ago when size meant abundance for a growing family. In short, the scaling down if products are now a match for the scaled-down families. Thank you for visiting and commenting Blueribbonfair.

Your photos with the article were so funny! Although, downsizing for America is by far not a bad thing. Take care over there

Thank you for commenting Bekitschig. If only greed were not at the other end of the downsizing 🙏😣

Fascinating article!
I’ve noticed this trend myself. Interestingly, I’ve read that food portions are now being reduced so that it’ll improve one’s health. :)

Smaller, yet more expensive! That is how we are being ruined by inconsiderate corporations!

Store shelf spacing is not a good reason to diminish the size of a product. I wish corporations would consider the families.
